what to expect at your first visit
Folks visiting Prairie Haven for the first time are provided an opportunity to try nudism as long as a reservation is made 24 hours in advance.
You will be taken on a tour of our pool areas and pavilion and given an opportunity to see the park and how its members participate in the nudist lifestyle. We want your stay to be enjoyable and exciting.
You’re welcome to enjoy the many campfires around the park. You will find our members to be very friendly and most visitors leave feeling like they’ve made new friends!
-
We recommend that each visitor bring at least two towels for each person, one towel to sit or lounge on (nudist etiquette requires that you always carry a towel to sit on), the other for the pool and shower.
Sunblock, lotion, and toiletries.
A cover-up/sarong in case the weather turns or if you accidentally get too much sun.
Shoes, either comfortable sandals or athletic shoes.
Food, water or other beverages of your liking.
If you have children, bring their usual required items.
-
Prairie Haven does not operate a restaurant or snack bar on the grounds so it will be necessary for you to bring food or snacks. We have ice available for $3.00. Small refrigerators and microwave ovens are available in each cabin room. Additionally, a full kitchen with electric stove, refrigerator and cooking utensils is available in the clubhouse. If you prefer, there are a number of good restaurants within a short drive from the grounds. Check with the office or any of the members for their recommendations and directions.
