The Bare Rules of
Prairie Haven

Group of people enjoying a sunny day in a swimming pool, some with hats and sunglasses, surrounded by trees and poolside structures.

These policies are intended to ensure a comfortable, safe, and respectful experience for all members and guests.

Please adhere to the following guidelines during your stay at Prairie Haven (PH).

  • PH is a nudist community; this is not a clothing-optional environment.

  • PH is a family-oriented, not lifestyle-focused, community. All individuals are expected to treat one another with dignity and respect.

  • Sexual comments or advances of any kind toward others are strictly prohibited. Inappropriate staring is not tolerated. Couples are asked to keep displays of affection private, within personal accommodation such as cabins, tents, or RVs. Violation of these expectations could result in immediate expulsion and permanent denial of future access.

  • Members and guests should always carry a towel for sitting or covering up as needed.

  • Swimwear and other forms of clothing are not permitted in the pools or hot tubs. Pool shoes may be worn; however, they must be put on immediately prior to entering the water. Please refrain from wearing pool shoes to the pool area or walking around the facility with them prior to entering the pools, as this can lead to debris adhering to the soles and potentially damaging the pool liner.

  • Showering with soap and water prior to entering the pool or hot tub is mandatory.

  • Glass is not allowed in the pool/hot tub area.

  • Photography is not permitted anywhere on the premises, as we prioritize privacy and discretion.

  • No smoking in cabins, pavilion, or office. There’s a designated smoking area at the conversation pool.

  • PH is a politics-free environment. Please refrain from displaying or discussing political views on site.

  • Firearms are not permitted on your person and must remain secure in your vehicle or sleeping quarters.

  • Fireworks and illegal substances, as defined by Kansas state law, are strictly prohibited.

  • Alcohol consumption must be kept moderate and under control.

  • Please dispose of all trash properly and leave all areas, including the PH kitchen, clean after use.

  • Swimming in the pond is not allowed.

  • Pets are not permitted in pool or pavilion areas. All animals must be leashed at all times, and owners are responsible for cleaning up and properly disposing of pet waste.

  • Check-out time for rental accommodations is 11:00AM. Guests wishing to extend their stay may purchase a day pass, allowing them to remain on site until 6:00PM.

  • Day pass visitors must leave by 6:00PM. Failure to do so will result in loss of future visitation privileges.

Above all, please enjoy your stay!
